Nehemia 9:17

Ze weigerden te gehoorzamen, en dachten niet terug aan de wonderen, die Gij voor hen hadt gewrocht; hardnekkig en koppig wilden ze terug naar de slavernij van Egypte. Maar Gij waart een God vol vergeving, genadig, barmhartig, lankmoedig en van grote ontferming, en Gij liet hen niet in de steek.

And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
