​สิ​่งที่เตรียมไว้ในวันหนึ่งๆมีวัวตัวหนึ่ง และแกะที่คัดเลือกแล้วหกตัว เป็ดไก่เขาก็จัดไว้​ให้​ข้าพเจ้าด้วย ในทุกๆสิบวันน้ำองุ่นมากมายหลายถุงหนัง ​แม้​จะมากอย่างนี้ ข้าพเจ้ามิ​ได้​เรียกร้องเอาส่วนอาหารของตำแหน่งผู้​ว่าราชการ​ เพราะว่าการปรนนิบั​ติ​นั้นหนักหน้าชนชาติ​นี้​​อยู่​​แล้ว​

Now that which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days store of all sorts of wine: yet for all this required not I the bread of the governor, because the bondage was heavy upon this people.
