நெகேமியா 5:5

எங்களுடைய உடலும், சகோதரர்கள் உடலும் சரி; எங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளும் அவர்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளும் சரி; ஆனாலும், இதோ, நாங்கள் எங்களுடைய மகன்களையும், மகள்களையும் அடிமையாக்கவேண்டியதாக இருக்கிறது; அப்படியே எங்களுடைய மகள்களில் சிலர் அடிமையாகவும் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களை மீட்க எங்களுக்கு வழியில்லை; எங்களுடைய நிலங்களும், திராட்சைத்தோட்டங்களும் வேறு மனிதர்கள் கைவசமானது என்றார்கள்.

Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.
