നെഹെമ്യാവു 1:6

നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കു വേണ്ടി രാവും പകലും നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കയും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളായ ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നോടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന പാപങ്ങളെ ഏറ്റുപറകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന അടിയന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ ചെവി ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചും നിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നും ഇരിക്കേണമേ; ഞാനും എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനവും പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned.
