നെഹെമ്യാവു 1:4

ഈ വർത്തമാനം കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഇരുന്നു കരഞ്ഞു; കുറെനാൾ ദുഃഖിച്ചും ഉപവസിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൈവത്തോടു ഞാൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

¶ And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
