નિનવે નગર ઉજ્જડ અને ખાલી થઈ ગયું છે. હૃદય પીગળી જાય છે, ઘૂંટણો એકબીજા સાથે અથડાય છે, દરેક જણનાં શરીરને પીડા થાય છે; દરેકના ચહેરા નિસ્તેજ થઈ ગયા છે.

She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.
