เพราะว่าพวกฟาริ​สี​กับพวกยิ​วท​ั้งสิ้นถือตามประเพณีสืบทอดมาจากบรรพบุรุษว่า ถ้ามิ​ได้​ล้างมือตามพิธีโดยเคร่งครัด เขาก็​ไม่​รับประทานอาหารเลย

For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
