యేసు ఇంకా మాట్లాడుతుండగా, యూదుల సమాజ మందిరం అధికారి యాయీరు ఇంటి నుండి కొందరు వచ్చి యాయీరుతో, “నీ కూతురు చనిపోయింది. ఇంక గురువుకు బాధ కలిగించడం ఎందుకు?” అని అన్నారు.
