செபெதேயுவின் குமாரனாகிய யாக்கோபு, யாக்கோபின் சகோதரனாகிய யோவான், இந்த இவருக்கும் இடிமுழக்க மக்கள் என்று அர்த்தம்கொண்ட பொவனெர்கேஸ் என்கிற பெயரிட்டார்,

And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
