ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితుల్లాగా కాకుండా అధికారం కలిగిన వాడిలాగా వారికి బోధించడం చూసి వారంతా ఆయన ఉపదేశానికి ఆశ్చర్యపడ్డారు.

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
