சற்று தள்ளிப்போய், தரையிலே விழுந்து, அந்த நேரம் தம்மைவிட்டுக் கடந்துபோகக்கூடுமானால் அது கடந்துபோகவேண்டும் என்று வேண்டிக்கொண்டு:

And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
