Markus 13:20

Om inte de dagarna förkortades skulle inget kött (gr. sarx) [ingen människa; inget levande] stå ut och överleva. Men för de utvaldas skull [Guds utvalda folk] har han förkortat de dagarna.

And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
