இயேசு உபதேசம்பண்ணும்போது அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: வேதபண்டிதர்கள் நீண்ட அங்கிகளை அணிந்துகொண்டு திரியவும், சந்தைவெளிகளில் வாழ்த்துக்களை விரும்பியும்,

¶ And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
