Nu ville de [översteprästerna, de skriftlärda och de äldste i Jerusalem, se Mark 11:27] gripa honom, de förstod att han hade berättat liknelsen mot dem (med hänvisning till dem). Men de var rädda för folket och lämnade honom och gick sin väg.

And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.
