ครั้นพระองค์กับพวกสาวกมาใกล้​กรุ​งเยรูซาเล็ม ถึงหมู่บ้านเบธฟายี และหมู่บ้านเบธานีเชิงภูเขามะกอกเทศ ​พระองค์​ทรงใช้สาวกสองคน
