அதை வேதபண்டிதர்களும் பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களும் கேட்டு, அவரைக் கொலைசெய்ய வழிதேடினார்கள்; ஆனாலும் மக்களெல்லோரும் அவருடைய உபதேசத்தைக்குறித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டதினாலே அவருக்கு பயந்திருந்தார்கள்.

And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
