பின்பு அவர்கள் எரிகோவிற்கு வந்தார்கள். அவரும் அவருடைய சீடர்களும் மக்கள் கூட்டமும் எரிகோவைவிட்டுப் புறப்படுகிறபோது, திமேயுவின் பார்வையற்ற மகனாகிய பர்திமேயு, வழியருகில் உட்கார்ந்து, பிச்சை கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.
