മത്തായി 6:2

ആകയാൽ ഭിക്ഷകൊടുക്കുമ്പോൾ മനുഷ്യരാൽ മാനം ലഭിപ്പാൻ പള്ളികളിലും വീഥികളിലും കപടഭക്തിക്കാർ ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ കാഹളം ഊതിക്കരുതു; അവർക്കു പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടിപ്പോയി എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
