മത്തായി 6:16

ഉപവസിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ കപടഭക്തിക്കാരെപ്പോലെ വാടിയ മുഖം കാണിക്കരുതു; അവർ ഉപവസിക്കുന്നതു മനുഷ്യർക്കു വിളങ്ങേണ്ടതിന്നു മുഖം വിരൂപമാക്കുന്നു; അവർക്കു പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടിപ്പോയി എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

¶ Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
