પણ ફરોશીઓમાંના તથા સદૂકીઓમાંના ઘણાંને પોતાથી બાપ્તિસ્મા પામવા માટે આવતા જોઈને યોહાને તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “ઓ સર્પોના વંશ, આવનાર કોપથી નાસવાને તમને કોણે ચેતવ્યાં?
