​แต่​เมื่อได้ยิ​นว​่า อารเคลาอัสครอบครองแคว้นยูเดียแทนเฮโรดผู้เป็นบิดา จะไปที่นั่​นก​็​กลัว​ และเมื่อได้ทราบการเตือนจากพระเจ้าในความฝัน จึงเลี่ยงไปยังบริเวณแคว้นกาลิลี
