Matteus 2:16

När Herodes förstod att han blivit missledd av de vise männen blev han ursinnig (tappade helt fattningen av raseri). Han beordrade (sände ut) att man skulle döda alla pojkar som var två år eller yngre i Betlehem och alla dess närliggande områden, detta enligt (den exakta uppgiften om) tiden som han fick fram genom att noggrant fråga de vise männen [Matt 2:7].

¶ Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.
