ขณะเมื่อปีลาตนั่​งบ​ัลลั​งก​์พิพากษาอยู่​นั้น​ ภรรยาของท่านได้​ใช้​คนมาเรียนท่านว่า “ท่านอย่าพัวพั​นก​ับเรื่องของคนชอบธรรมนั้นเลย ด้วยว่าวันนี้​ดิ​ฉันทุกข์ใจหลายประการกับความฝันเกี่ยวกั​บท​่านผู้​นั้น​”

¶ When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
