പിന്നെ അവൻ അല്പം മുമ്പോട്ടുചെന്നു കവിണ്ണുവീണു: പിതാവേ, കഴിയും എങ്കിൽ ഈ പാനപാത്രം എങ്കൽ നിന്നു നീങ്ങിപ്പോകേണമേ; എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ അല്ല, നീ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ ആകട്ടെ എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
