પણ ઈસુ મૌન રહ્યા. ત્યારે પ્રમુખ યાજકે ઈસુને કહ્યું, “હું તને જીવતા ઈશ્વરના સમ આપું છું કે, ઈશ્વરનો દીકરો જે ખ્રિસ્ત છે તે તું જ છે કે નહિ, એ અમને કહે.”

But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
