Ai de vocês, educadores religiosos e fariseus, hipócritas! Vocês pagam a décima parte da menta, da erva-doce e do cominho, mas desprezam os aspectos vitais da lei, que são: ser justo com os outros, mostrar misericórdia e agir com honestidade. Sim, vocês devem pagar o seu dízimo, mas não devem se esquecer dessas outras coisas.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
