​แต่​เมื่อพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่กับพวกธรรมาจารย์​ได้​​เห​็นการมหัศจรรย์​ที่​​พระองค์​ทรงกระทำ ทั้งได้ยินหมู่เด็​กร​้องในพระวิหารว่า “โฮซันนาแก่ราชโอรสของดาวิด” เขาทั้งหลายก็พากันแค้นเคือง
