அவன் இப்படி நினைத்துக்கொண்டு இருக்கும்போது, கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் கனவில் அவனுக்குக் காணப்பட்டு: “தாவீதின் குமாரனாகிய யோசேப்பே, உன் மனைவியாகிய மரியாளைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ள பயப்படாதே; அவளிடத்தில் கருவுற்றிருக்கிறது பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் உண்டானது.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
