જયારે તે એ બાબત વિશે વિચારતો હતો, ત્યારે પ્રભુનો દૂત તેને સ્વપ્નમાં દેખાયો અને કહ્યું કે, “યૂસફ, દાઉદના દીકરા, તું તારી પત્ની મરિયમને તેડી લાવવાને બીશ નહિ; કેમ કે તેના ગર્ભમાં જે બાળક છે તે પવિત્ર આત્માથી છે.
