હું તમને કહું છું કે વ્યભિચારના કારણ વગર જે કોઈ પોતાની પત્નીને ત્યજીને બીજી સ્ત્રી સાથે લગ્ન કરે, તો તે વ્યભિચાર કરે છે; અને જો કોઈ ત્યજી દીધેલી સ્ત્રી સાથે લગ્ન કરે તો તે પણ વ્યભિચાર કરે છે.”

And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
