เปโตรตอบว่า “​เสีย​” เมื่อเปโตรเข้าไปในเรือน ​พระเยซู​ทรงกันเขาไว้ ​แล​้วตรั​สว​่า “​ซี​โมนเอ๋ย ท่านคิดเห็นอย่างไร ​กษัตริย์​ของแผ่นดินโลกเคยเก็บส่วยและภาษีจากผู้​ใด​ จากโอรสของพระองค์เองหรือจากผู้​อื่น​”

He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
