પછી ઈસુએ પોતાના શિષ્યોને કહ્યું કે, “જો કોઈ મને અનુસરવા ચાહે, તો તેણે પોતાનો નકાર કરવો અને પોતાનો વધસ્તંભ ઊંચકીને મારી પાછળ ચાલવું.

¶ Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
