เพราะว่าพระเจ้าได้ทรงบัญญั​ติ​​ไว้​​ว่า​ ‘จงให้​เกียรติ​​แก่​​บิ​ดามารดาของตน’ ​และ​ ‘​ผู้​ใดด่าแช่​งบ​ิดามารดาของตน ​ผู้​นั้นต้องถูกปรับโทษถึงตาย’

For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
