Nu riep Jesus zijn leerlingen bijeen, en sprak: Ik heb medelijden met de schare; want reeds drie dagen zijn ze bij Mij, en ze hebben niets te eten. Ik wil ze dus niet ongespijsd laten gaan, opdat ze onderweg niet bezwijken.
