​ผู้​​ที่​รับเมล็ดซึ่งตกกลางหนามนั้น ​ได้แก่​​บุ​คคลที่​ได้​ฟังพระวจนะ ​แล​้วความกังวลตามธรรมดาโลก และการล่อลวงแห่งทรัพย์​สมบัติ​​ก็​รัดพระวจนะนั้นเสีย และเขาจึงไม่​เกิดผล​

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
