Och ni frågar: ”Varför?” Därför att Herren var vittne mellan dig och din ungdoms hustru. Du har varit trolös mot henne, trots att hon är din maka, din hustru som du ingått förbund med.

¶ Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
