LUCA 8:14

E la parte ch'è caduta fra le spine son coloro che hanno udita la parola; ma, quando se ne sono andati, sono affogati dalle sollecitudini, e dalle ricchezze, e da' piaceri di questa vita, e non fruttano.

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
