அவரை அழைத்த பரிசேயன் அதை பார்த்தபோது, இவர் தீர்க்கதரிசியாக இருந்தால் தம்மைத் தொடுகிற பெண் எப்படிப்பட்டவள் என்று அறிந்திருப்பார்; இவள் பாவியாக இருக்கிறாளே என்று தனக்குள்ளே சொல்லிக்கொண்டான்.

Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
