அன்றியும் எலியா தீர்க்கதரிசி வாழ்ந்த நாட்களிலே மூன்று வருடங்களும் ஆறு மாதங்களும் வானம் அடைக்கப்பட்டு மழை இல்லாமல், தேசமெங்கும் கொடிய பஞ்சம் உண்டாயிருந்தபோது, இஸ்ரவேலில் அநேக விதவைகள் இருந்தார்கள்.
