സഹയാത്രക്കാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും എന്നു അവർ ഊഹിച്ചിട്ടു ഒരു ദിവസത്തെ വഴി പോന്നു; പിന്നെ അവനെ ബന്ധുക്കളുടെയും പരിചയക്കാരുടെയും ഇടയിൽ തിരഞ്ഞു.
