શિમયોને તેઓને આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો, અને તેમની મા મરિયમને કહ્યું કે, ‘જો, આ બાળક ઇઝરાયલમાંનાં ઘણાંનાં પડવા, તથા પાછા ઊઠવા સારુ, તથા જેની વિરુદ્ધ વાંધા લેવામાં આવે તેની નિશાની થવા સારુ ઠરાવેલો છે.

And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;
