เขาจึงพูดหน่วงเหนี่ยวพระองค์​ว่า​ “เชิญหยุดพั​กก​ับเรา เพราะว่าจวนเย็นแล้ว และวั​นก​็ล่วงไปมาก” ​พระองค์​จึงเสด็จเข้าไปเพื่อพักอยู่กับเขา

But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
