அவன் யூதர்களுடைய பட்டணங்களில் ஒன்றாகிய அரிமத்தியாவிலிருந்து வந்தவனும், தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்திற்குக் காத்திருந்தவனும், யூதர்களுடைய ஆலோசனைக்கும் செய்கைக்கும் சம்மதிக்காதவனுமாக இருந்தான்.
