તે યહૂદીઓના એક શહેર અરિમથાઈનો હતો, તેણે ન્યાયસભાનો નિર્ણય તથા કામમાં સંમતિ આપી નહોતી. અને તે પણ ઈશ્વરના રાજ્યની રાહ જોતો હતો.
