‘શાસ્ત્રીઓથી સાવધાન રહો, કેમ કે તેઓ ઝભ્ભા પહેરીને ફરવાનું, તથા ચોકમાં સલામો પામવાનું તથા સભાસ્થાનોમાં મુખ્ય આસનો તથા જમણવારમાં મુખ્ય જગ્યાઓ ચાહે છે;

Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
