คนฟาริ​สี​นั้นยืนนึกในใจของตนอธิษฐานว่า ‘ข้าแต่​พระเจ้า​ ข้าพระองค์ขอบพระคุณพระองค์ ​ที่​ข้าพระองค์​ไม่​เหมือนคนอื่นซึ่งเป็นคนฉ้อโกง คนอธรรม และคนล่วงประเวณี และไม่เหมือนคนเก็บภาษีคนนี้
