ફરોશીએ ઊભા રહીને પોતાના મનમાં એવી પ્રાર્થના કરી કે, ‘ઓ ઈશ્વર, બીજા માણસોના જેવો જુલમી, અન્યાયી, વ્યભિચારી અથવા આ દાણીના જેવો હું નથી, માટે હું તમારી ઉપકારસ્તુતિ કરું છું.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
