യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിന്നു യെരീഹോവിലേക്കു പോകുമ്പോൾ കള്ളന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽ അകപ്പെട്ടു; അവർ അവനെ വസ്ത്രം അഴിച്ചു മുറിവേല്പിച്ചു അർദ്ധപ്രാണനായി വിട്ടേച്ചു പോയി.

And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
