Tala till Israels söner och säg: Om någon (ordagrant en själ) skulle synda oavsiktligt mot något av Herrens (Jahvehs) budord (tydliga befallningar) angående de ting som inte borde göras, och ändå gör det mot ett av dem [något av följande bud, se vers 3, 13, 27 och 32]:
