ലേവ്യപുസ്തകം 2:13

നിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗത്തിന്നു ഒക്കെയും ഉപ്പു ചേർക്കേണം; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിയമത്തിൻ ഉപ്പു ഭോജനയാഗത്തിന്നു ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കരുതു; എല്ലാവഴിപാടിന്നും ഉപ്പു ചേർക്കേണം.

And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.
